Anne Marie Saigh, age 95, nee Hollowed, died in hospice on March 21, 2015, at Addolorata Villa, Wheeling, where she resided the past nine years.

She was the devoted and beloved wife for 66 years of the late Donald J. Saigh; the mother of Robert M. (Patricia) , Christopher W. (Marybeth) , William E. (Tona) and Kathleen S. (Dr. John S.) Cantieri; grandmother of Ashley (Jeremy) Skeeters, Neil Saigh, Eileen (Will) Pacer, Lauren (Patrick) Dwyer, Nicholas Saigh, Matthew (Rebecca) and Julia Cantieri, Maria (Dr. J. Carl) Sutton and Thomas Cantieri; and great grandmother of Elise Smith, Domenic Dwyer, and Olivia and Grace Cantieri.

She also was aunt to more than 40 Saigh-Hollowed nephews and nieces, and grand aunt and cousin to many more.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Edward J. and Katherine M. (McCauley) Hollowed, sister Mary K. LaViolette, and brothers Robert M. and James A. She is survived by her sister Marjorie J. Adamson, and brothers Edward J., John R. and Myles J.

Born in Chicago in 1919, she graduated from Providence Catholic High School, Chicago, then trained as a secretary and worked several years for a Chicago merchandiser. Upon marrying, she became a homemaker, family keeper and regular volunteer with church, hospital and charitable organizations. She and her late husband were 43-year residents of Mt. Prospect.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 11 a.m. in the chapel at Addolorata Villa, 555 McHenry Rd., Wheeling, IL 60090.  The Mass will be preceded by a welcoming at the chapel entrance, beginning at 10 a.m. Interment is private.
